Easter Menu Round-Up 2016
Easter is such lovely holiday as it heralds the arrival of spring. It’s a time for faithful reflection and expressions of gratitude. The grass is greening up, flowers are blooming and families typically gather to share a meal. Our family Easter menus have varied over the years ranging from spiral-cut hams to grilled salmon to pork tenderloin. A couple of things have not changed and that is my Avocado Bacon Deviled Eggs and our Dinner Rolls. I’ve gathered a few recipes from my blog and others to get you thinking about what you’d like to serve this year. So many wonderful options. It’s hard to go wrong. Most importantly, whatever you choose, be sure to enjoy your time together as a family; that’s what it’s all about.
Avocado Bacon Deviled Eggs (Inside Karen’s Kitchen). These are to die for; a must-have at every Easter Feast.
Fruit Salsa with Cinnamon Chips (Taste of Home). Here’s a fun start to the meal everyone will love.
Berries and Nuts Spinach Salad with Poppyseed Dressing (Inside Karen’s Kitchen). Here’s a recent post I can’t stop eating since I shared it a few weeks ago. It’s the best of spring. You’ll love it.
Mixed Greens, Grape and Sunflower Seed Salad (Inside Karen’s Kitchen). The simplicity of this salad matches well with a more complex main dish. Clean and whole, just a the way a salad should be.
Chicken Cordon Bleu with Butter Lemon Sauce (Inside Karen’s Kitchen). Here’s a classic recipe straight from The Lion House cookbook lightened up a bit for the blog, of course. A lovely Easter main dish.
Strawberry Avocado Salad with Honey Glazed Grilled Salmon (Inside Karen’s Kitchen). In case you’d like to keep it all on one plate this year, consider combining this beautiful salad with grilled salmon. Everyone will love you for it. The dressing is a sweet balsamic vinaigrette.
The Perfect Honey-Glazed Ham (The Kitchn). Here’s a step-by-step guide to baking your ham just right. What to buy, how to bake and glaze, EVERYTHING you need.
No-Knead Overnight Parmesan and Thyme Rolls (Cooking Light). Here’s a time-saving recipe loaded with whole grain goodness and savory seasonings.
Citrus Green Beans with Almonds (Inside Karen’s Kitchen). What better way to celebrate spring than with fresh green beans. (You can also substitute asparagus for the green beans.)
Cheesy Bacon and Garlic Butter Smashed Red Potatoes (Mel’s Kitchen Cafe). What’s an Easter dinner without some kind of mashed potato loaded with all the fixings and Mel knows how to do it right! No judging here. Whether you double bake or mash or scallop, potatoes are a holiday meal staple.
Carrot Banana Cake with Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting (Inside Karen’s Kitchen). Keeping it classic with this luscious moist cake I bake in a bundt pan and lather it with a delectable frosting.
Lemon Cookies with Coconut Frosting (Two Peas and Their Pod). A touch of lemon in these soft buttery cookies makes all the difference. Who can resist?
